Melina Vase
Capodimonte is a distinctive style of Porcelain that stands apart from all the other ceramic traditions of southern Italy. This delicate, ornate porcelain (historically produced outside of Naples) is immediately recognizable for its pastel flowers, sprays of buds, baskets, and elegant figurines. The original Capodimonte Porcelain was produced in 1743 by Charles the third of Naples.
This is a found vintage piece, in very good condition. The vase has a small chip on the bottom leaf closest to the handle (pictured down below, chip is highlighted in red). It also has a millimeter chip of one of the lower rose petals and small crack lines behind the rose, not visible at all from the front view. It is clearly marked on the bottom - made in Italy and bears the crown above the letter N with Capodimonte underneath. It rests on four small feet on the bottom.
It measures 9 3/4 inches in height from the tallest point of the spout. The widest part is 16 1/2 inches around, and the opening of the vase hole is about 4 1/2 inches wide.
Additional uses: dried flowers to enjoy the vase all year round.
